Highland Ridge Stables is a welcoming, community‑driven barn where riders, families, and horses are supported at every stage of their journey. Set on more than 37 acres in Concord, Wisconsin, the farm has grown into a trusted home for quality instruction, thoughtful training, and a show team known for its teamwork and heart.

Highland Ridge Stables is owned by Sarah McClintock, whose leadership shapes the barn’s calm, organized, and rider‑focused environment. Sarah oversees the training program and guides the overall direction of the barn, ensuring that every horse and rider receives consistent, high‑quality support.
Rather than centering the barn around one person, Sarah has built a program where the entire team plays an essential role in creating a positive, professional experience for riders and owners alike.

Meet Our Team
Sarah McClintock
Owner/Trainer
Highland Ridge Stables is owned and operated by Sarah McClintock, a lifelong horsewoman with over two decades of experience teaching and training horses and riders. After working in the industry since 2000, Sarah took the leap to open her own facility, and Highland Ridge Stables officially opened in August 2013.
Sarah grew up in Grafton, Wisconsin, where she owned and showed two American Saddlebred horses. She was an active member of her local 4-H program and competed at state expos, building a strong foundation in both horsemanship and competition. Outside of her own riding, Sarah worked at local barns assisting with summer camps, trail rides, and daily barn operations—always finding a way to be around horses and learn more.
Known for her strong work ethic, honesty, and dedication, Sarah has made a lasting impact at every barn where she has worked. She brings patience, consistency, and attention to detail to her teaching, guiding riders from the beginner level all the way to success in the show ring.
As a trainer, Sarah excels at pairing horses and riders into confident, competitive teams. Her keen eye and thoughtful approach have produced numerous state, regional, world, and reserve champion titles. Sarah’s commitment to excellence shows in every horse she trains and every rider she mentors.
Sarah resides adjacent to the stables, where she lives with her husband, Tony, and their daughter, Clara. Tony is a real estate agent with Shorewest, working out of the Oconomowoc office.
Outside of the barn, the family is kept busy by their two dogs—a golden retriever named Percy and a Jack Russell named Jax. When she’s not working with horses or riders, Sarah enjoys playing games, watching movies, reading, and cooking.
